How To Write

Step 1 – Section 1 – Year To Date Profit and Loss Statement-

  • Enter the following at the top of the page:
  • For – Enter the name of the business
  • Date – mm/dd/yyyy

Step 2 – Section 2 – Income –

  • Enter the income as follows:
  • Your business income
  • Total Income

Step 3  – Section 3 – Business Expenses –

  • Enter all business expense information as required:
  • Advertising/Marketing
  • Credit/Debit Card Fees
  • Equipment Rental/Lease
  • Insurance Expense
  • License/Permits
  • Office Supplies Expenses
  • Postage and Delivery
  • Rentals – Office Space/Storage/ Other
  • Supplies/Materials Expenses
  • Travel/Entertainment
  • Utilities Expenses
  • Vehicle Expenses
  • List Any Other Business Expenses Not Listed Above
  • Calculate by adding lines 3 through 17 to acquire a figure for business operating expenses to be entered into line 18

Step 4 – Section 4 – Profit or Loss –

  • Subtract line 2 from line 18
  • Enter final calculation in line 19 (this will show profit or loss and in what amount)

Step 5 – Section 5 – Preparation Information –

  • Prepared By -(enter the name of the person who had prepared this document)
  • Date mm/dd/yyyy
