How To Write
Step 1 – Section 1 – Attorney Information – Please complete the following:
- Date – mm/dd/yyyy
- Attorney’s Full Name
- Case Number
Step 2 – Section 2 – Task and Billable Hours
- In the rows, information is required for record keeping, both on the part of the attorney as well as the law firm’s administrative staff. The following information must be provided for all of the time spent on any case, whether it is time spent with clients, research, investigation or whatever is required. In each row provide:
- Task Description
- Start Time
- End Time
- Initials
- Total Time Spent Per Session Per Case
Step 3 – Section 3 – Billable Totals, Attorney Signature, Date –
- Once the sheet is full or the case is complete, calculate the billable hours recorded.
- Attorney must provide his/her signature
- Date – mm/dd/yyyy
