The Alabama tax power of attorney, also referred to as ‘Form 2848A’, is a document used to elect a third (3rd) party individual or company to handle your tax account (business or personal) with the Department of Revenue. The agent is usually a professional tax preparer or at least someone qualified to handle the filing of taxes within the State. Both parties must sign the agreement although it is not required to be notarized.
