Download this Maine Revocable Living Trust form.  A trust is a document that can be used to set aside property and assets for your loved ones with the flexibility to designate how and when the property and assets will be distributed.  For instance, some grantors will direct the trustee of their trust to only expend funds from the trust for a beneficiary’s education or medical expenses until the beneficiary reaches the age of 25 at which point they will be able to receive their full share of the funds.  There are any number of options for a grantor when he or she takes into account his or her unique family circumstances.  The grantor designates a trustee to make sure the provisions are carried out and to make responsible investment decisions with the funds entrusted to him or her.  A revocable trsut can be altered or revoked during the grantor’s life, but becomes irrevocable upon the grantor’s passing.
