The Alabama sublease agreement is a real estate contract between an individual that has a residential lease with a landlord and has the right to rent the property to another party. The original tenant, or lessee, is fully responsible for the actions, payment, and any liability presented by the new tenant, or lessee. Due to this heightened liability, landlords are often hesitant to allow a tenant to have the power of subleasing in their rental agreement.
If a tenant does not have the legal right to rent the property to a sublessee then they will have to seek the written permission from the landlord/manager.
