Dollar General offers various types of jobs under the divisions of Corporate Careers, DC Careers, Field Leadership Careers, and Store Careers. You can fill out the paper job application form and submit it in person at the location to which you would like to apply, or you may submit an online application through Dollar General’s website, which will be demonstrated below.
HOW TO APPLY
Step 1 — Visit Dollar General’s website and choose to search for job listings by division, category, title, location, or most recent postings. For this example, let’s go under the Division section and click “Store Careers.”
Step 2 — Choose which position title and which location best suits you. Let’s say you want a management position and live in Danville, KY, so we’ll click “Store Manager in Danville KY.” This will take you to a summary page for the job listing.
Step 3 — Read through the job description and list of responsibilities. If it seems like a good fit, you can start the online application by clicking the “Apply to Job” button at the top left of the page.
Step 4 — A pop up window will open where you will need to create a login account for the application gateway. Enter your email, create a password, and input a security question and answer.
Step 5 — Begin the online application process at the welcome screen. It will inform you that the process may take between 30-60 minutes to complete. If you stop at any point along the way, be sure to click “Save as Draft” so your progress won’t be lost.
Step 6 — Complete the Candidate Profile section. Upload your résumé from your computer, or enter it by typing or copying it in.
Step 7 — Complete the Additional Information and Background Information sections to add in the rest of your personal and job-related information.
Step 8 — Read the Candidate Agreement and click “Next.”
Step 9 — Click “Confirm” to confirm that you understand the agreement and that all of the previous information you have entered is correct.
Your application to Dollar General is now complete. If they want to schedule an interview with you, they will contact you at phone number or email address you provided.
