How To Write
Step 1 – Section 1 – Assets –
- In section 1, under “assets,” you will begin by completing all of the following:
- Current Assets –
- Cash in Bank
- Accounts Receivable
- Inventory
- Total Current Assets
- Fixed Assets –
- Land
- Buildings
- Less Depreciation
- Net Land and Buildings –
- Equipment
- Less Depreciation
- Net Equipment –
- Cars and Trucks
- Less Depreciation
- Net Cars and Truck –
- Calculate the totals and place in the totals at the end of the column
Step 2 – Section 2 – Liabilities
- Current Liabilities –
- Accounts Payable
- Other Payments Due In 12 Months
- Total Current Liabilities
- Long Term Liabilities –
- Long Term Loans (due after 1 year)
- Mortgage
- Total Long Term Liabilities
- Total Liabilities (L)
- Owner’s Equity –
- Investments
- Retained Earnings
- Total Owner’s Equity –
Total the total liabilities and the owner’s equity. Total assets equals total liabilities plus owners’ equity or A=L+E
