Download the Alaska domestic articles of organization, also known as Form 08-484, is an application to start a company that will have a principal office address within the State. The form should be filed with the filing fee of $250 and will need to be sent to the Division of Corporations, Business and Professional Licensing.

Online Filing

Step 1 –  Go to This WebPage and begin filling-in the details of your LLC.

  • Section 1 – Enter the Entity Name. If you are not sure of the name you have selected has been already registered use the Business Database to perform a lookup by name and see if it is available.
  • Section 2 – Enter the purpose. Most candidates write ‘any lawful business’.

Step 2 – Continue with Sections 3-5:

  • Section 3 – Enter the NAICS Code associated with the business type. All full list may be found on This WebPage.
  • Section 4 – Enter the name of the registered and and their mailing/physical address.
  • Section 5 – Enter the mailing and physical addresses of the entity.

Step 3 – Enter Sections 6 and 7 along with any Optional Provisions.

  • Section 6 – Management structure, by a manager or the members
  • Section 7 – Organizers
  • Optional Provisions
  • Incorporator – Enter the name of the person performing the formation.

Click the proceed button and be able to make the online payment via credit card of $250. The filing process is complete.

Paper Filing

Step 1 – Download the Adobe PDF Application and complete with the details of the entity.

Step 2 – The fee of $250 must be attached. The application and the fee must be sent to the following address;

State of Alaska, Corporations Section, PO Box 110806, Juneau, AK 99811-0806

The State says that the processing time is around 10 to 15 business days. After receiving the registered articles in the mail the filer must complete the Initial Report. This is to be done to remain in compliance and can be done online for free (no fee).
